Disaster Prevention

Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc. takes business continuity very seriously. We strive to ensure that your calls are answered uninterrupted.

If you are a client located in an area that may be affected by inclement weather, or are just looking to add a more robust prevention plan to your location, you will find some helpful tips below.

Disaster Prevention Tips & Things To Keep In Mind:

  • The quickest & easiest way to get in touch with us during the storm is to send an e-mail to manager@advantagetelemessaging.com. This e-mail will forward to all members of our management team.

  • If you plan to put an Emergency Protocol into place that differs from how we would normally handle your calls, please inform Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc. prior to the storm's arrival to ensure we have enough time to program your requested changes.

  • Unfortunately, Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc. has no control over the call forwarding feature on your telephone line. In addition, we do not have any way to activate or deactivate the forwarding feature on your behalf. If you are experiencing issues activating or deactivating your call forwarding, you will need to contact your telephone company or telephone equipment vendor for assistance.

  • Is your call forwarding affected by power or internet outages at your office? If so, you can contact your telephone company and ask them to place a feature called Direct Trunk Overflow (DTO) or No Answer Call Redirect on your lines (every phone company calls it something different). These features can automatically forward your calls to your regular Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc. call forwarding number in the event of an electrical or telephone outage at your office. Service fees may vary by carrier.

  • We understand that no one likes to wait on hold. If your account is set up where you call into our call center to retrieve your messages, we invite you to sign up for our lightening fast text messaging dispatch or our HIPAA/ HITECH-compliant Secure Messaging app so overall wait times can be greatly reduced for your callers.

  • Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc. has a robust, multi-tier Disaster Prevention plan in place. However, we are not impervious and there may be factors beyond our control that could affect calls getting from your location to ours. We recommend having a back-up plan in case of an unforeseen issue affecting your call routing to us.

Again, we take business continuity very seriously. This is why we are more than Just The Answering Service but rather your call management partner. Please contact us with any questions at (855) 372-5551 or manager@advantagetelemessaging.com.

    Sincerely,

    Advantage TeleMessaging, Inc.
